As the Eagles advance to the Super Bowl after beating the Washington Commanders at home, multiple people were injured when a car drove into the crowd in Philadelphia.

Police said the vehicle ran into a pedestrian, possibly by accident, at an intersection along Broad Street.

The number of people struck or hospitalized was not immediately available. Video from the scene shows Philadelphia Fire Department personnel injured in the street.

Police said the driver is in custody. “This is not intentional at this time,” the department said in the X.

NBC Philadelphia showed video of crowds gathered along Broad Street to celebrate the Eagles’ NFC Championship victory.

Philadelphia’s Office of Emergency Management announced Sunday evening that streets on both sides of Broad Street from just north of City Hall to Famous South Street will be closed to celebrity traffic. The incident occurred north of the closure.

The Eagles defeated the Commanders 55-23 and will play the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 9th.
