“I was ready to go home.”

Country singer Morgan Warren speaks to the controversial Saturday Night Live exit, simply saying he’s “ready to go home.”

Warren, 31, made headlines for the sudden departure after becoming a musical guest on the show in March. Many hosts and musical guests remained on stage with the cast after the show was wrapped, but Warren hugged the host and left within seconds.

Over the weekend, he chatted about the stirring that his exit was made on his podcast, “Sundae’s Conversation with Caleb Presley.”

“If it’s on “SNL”, can I repair my TV? ” host Caleb Presley asked him.

“We certainly could have changed that,” Warren replied with a laugh.

“Seriously, ‘SNL, did they make you mad?” the host was pushed.

“No, no,” Warren said. “I was ready to go home. I was there all week.”

“You had to get a plane. “Take me into the kingdom of God,” Presley said.

Within a week, Warren turned his viral post into a product and sold his baseball cap and shirt on his website.

“SNL” cast members Bowen Yang and Kenan Thompson spoke to the unusual exit with Jenna and friends last month, but they focus on moving forward.

“This is the honest truth of God. Nothing happened, so even after that, we all appeared to work the next day.

Thompson previously told Entertainment Weekly that Wallen’s exit was a “normal surge.”

“When people decide to do something like that, they don’t know they’ll go through people’s minds,” Thompson told the outlet. “I don’t know if he understands the assignment or if he really felt the way he really did.”
