OpenAI CEO Sam Altman on Monday night announced a revised agreement with the Pentagon governing the department’s use of AI services, saying it provides stronger assurances that the military will not use OpenAI’s systems for domestic surveillance.The new agreement states that “AI systems will not be intentionally used for domestic surveillance of U.S. persons and nationals,” according to a post on OpenAI’s website.
