A woman who appears to have emptied and taken away a special New York Knicks-themed trash can last week was seen on video without working as an executive at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Angie Baez, 40, has been identified as the person who was throwing away a special edition trash can during the Knicks Celebration Parade in Manhattan, the New York Post reported.
The blue and orange trash cans were installed last week by the New York City Department of Sanitation to commemorate the Knicks’ first NBA championship in more than 50 years.
A JPMorgan Chase spokesperson told NBC News on Wednesday that Baez, who previously served as executive director of community and industry engagement, no longer works for the company. A spokeswoman would not comment on whether she left the company because of the video.
Baez did not immediately return calls and emails from NBC News seeking comment.
The Sanitation Department confirmed that the bins were returned to the city Wednesday morning.
“First, we would like to reiterate our previous comments that dumping trash on the street and stealing public property for personal use are both illegal, antisocial, and not New Yorker actions,” the department said in a statement. “Plus, it’s incredibly stupid to do both in front of the camera.”
The original video of the incident was posted on TikTok. The woman who posted the video shared the Post’s report on her Instagram Story, expressing remorse for the situation.
The woman did not immediately respond to a message from NBC News.
“I really feel sorry for her,” the woman wrote. “When we posted that video, we didn’t expect such a negative reaction. This is what our parents warned us about.”
