According to Monday’s order, the court prohibited William Applegate, 31, from coming within 100 meters of Carpenter or her sister Sarah Carpenter and her partner, who also live in the Hollywood Hills home.

Carpenter filed for a civil harassment restraining order against Applegate in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday. Applegate allegedly approached Carpenter’s front door on May 23 and tried to force it open, and the stalking had escalated since at least April 20, according to the petition.

“His pattern of stalking, trespassing, and surveillance has caused me severe and ongoing emotional distress, and I fear what he will do if he is not held in court,” Carpenter wrote in her declaration seeking a restraining order.

NBC News could not find contact information for Applegate on Monday, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney. The Los Angeles County Public Defenders Office did not respond to a request for comment.

A Los Angeles Police Department detective’s statement supporting the restraining order alleges that Applegate tried to open Carpenter’s front door on May 23. When the security guard confronted Carpenter, Applegate allegedly punched the man.

Ring security camera images show a man, identified as Applegate in the restraining order request, being confronted by a flashlight-wielding security guard at the front door of Carpenter’s home.

According to court documents, the security guard told Applegate to leave, but Applegate refused and said she knew Carpenter and that she was waiting for him, a claim the documents call “outrageous and completely false.”

The detective, a threat management expert, said Applegate refused to leave until officers arrived. The detective wrote that Applegate “became a disturbing and irrational obsession” with Carpenter.

Carpenter said in a deposition that the man returned to the neighborhood two days after he was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

During what she claimed was “deliberate surveillance” and “harassment,” he parked his Toyota Prius nearby and reclined the seat to obscure her view, she said. Carpenter said officers left as soon as they responded.

Carpenter’s security personnel then determined that a man had been parking in the neighborhood and had been “increasingly approaching” her home starting approximately April 20, according to the request.

“His delusional claims that he knew me and had expectations of me demonstrate a dangerous, delusional and irrational obsession with me,” Carpenter wrote in her statement.

The restraining order also covers Carpenter’s workplace and vehicle, and says Applegate cannot harass, threaten, threaten, contact or stalk her.

Police have submitted the case to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office on trespassing and other charges from the May 23 incident to determine whether charges should be filed, a police detective wrote in a declaration supporting the restraining order. A court hearing on the matter is scheduled for June 18, he said.
