Pi Network releases major update for Pioneer and second migration

Here are the numbers of Pioneers who successfully completed their second migration:

Pi Network’s core team, which has come under severe criticism recently, has announced the number of users who have completed a second transfer of their balances.

However, similar to previous similar posts about X, the community was quick to pick up on this statement and slam the lack of real progress.

119,000 pieces and growing

Recall that the team made several important announcements on Pi Day (March 14), ranging from protocol updates to the long-awaited second migration. The process will begin that day and continue with a gradual rollout. The idea is for Pioneer to bring additional Pis to mainnet and allow them to “further participate in the ecosystem.”

Those who have already transferred their token balance once may be eligible to transfer again using the second batch of transferable coins. The second transfer will also include referral mining bonuses attributed to referring team members who have fully completed KYC.

A new update from the team published a few hours ago indicated that approximately 120,000 users have completed the second transfer of transferable balances, including introductory mining bonuses, and the gradual rollout continues.

The community is still not satisfied

Over 119,000 sounds like a huge number, but most of the comments under the Pi Network post about X continue the recent trend of bashing the team for lack of results. One user said that the actual project community is made up of millions of users and that the team shouldn’t boast that it only approved 119,000 people.

Others asked why the process was taking so long and questioned the interim KYC status, which has reportedly been delayed for months or even years. Several users claimed that they did not receive updates during the initial migration.
