The heir to one of Canada’s wealthiest family is her ex-best friend, “lost everything,” and now an Uber driver, who is suing to represent herself in court.
Taylor Thomson, the 66-year-old middle child of the billionaire Thomson family, and Ashley Richardson, the former California mom, at 47, were the best friends who enjoyed life in Los Angeles after meeting for the first time at a 2009 house party in Malibu.
However, the rosy relationship collapsed in 2022, when psychic advisors pointed out to invest in crypto tokens that crashed within a year.
Thomson accused her friends of making hundreds of thousands of dangerous deals behind her back and using her only for her wealth, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Richardson denied the allegations and blamed the billionaire — who she once claimed had clashed with her — destroys their friendship and leaves her struggling to achieve her goal.
“Thanks to you I lost everything and you decided to sue someone who has no left to lose,” Richardson said in one of his final messages to Thomson. “I loved you more than anything else.”
According to a message between the two women, Richardson has been one of Thomson’s biggest supporters in over 12 years as a close friend, and is even going on to help his heirs move their beloved chickens from Bel Air to Hollywood.
Friends argued that Thomson, whose family is ranked as the third wealthiest clan in the world, could become aggressive when she struggled to trust people and believed that everyone was chasing her money, WSJ reported.
She even hired a convicted Hollywood private investigator Anthony Pericano, who spies on a former nanny allegedly conspired with her daughter’s father in a fierce custody battle, according to court documents.
According to a 2008 wiretapping trial, Thomson told Pericano. “Get it, I’m not going to ask a question.”
Despite alleged Thompson’s financial nature, Richardson told WSJ he would support her and try to protect her from these so-called “takers” after the heirs’ estate.
However, Richardson was highly labelled after the latest allegations following his friend’s failed crypto venture in 2021.
“After a gorgeous lifestyle at Thomson’s dime, Richardson took her fake stories to the media to withdraw more money from Thomson, which we know because Richardson threatened it many times.”
Following the pandemic, Richardson has found her followers hooked on the words of celebrity psychic Michelle White Love, who encouraged her to invest in the upcoming Persistence Crypto Coin.
Richardson was interested, sought advice, interested and advice from astrologer Robert Sabella, whom she regularly consulted, according to the woman’s message.
“Taylor would trust her own instincts and use Robert as the sounding board,” a spokesman for Thomson told WSJ about their interactions.
After being confirmed by Sabela, the two women began investing heavily in sustainability. Richardson puts most of his savings in the coin, while Thomson pours over $40 million.
Richardson claimed that Thomson became eager to spend and was held back by the heirs when he proposed spending another $60 million on the token after his early success.
Thomson also drafted a letter to his brother, who owns the largest shares of Thomson Fortune, accusing him of limiting his family’s ability to invest his wealth in the crypto market, the outlet reported.
According to WSJ, Richardson said during the transaction he investigated cryptocurrency research and Thomson’s deals and spent 20 hours a day running Thomson’s deals.
When the 2022 crypto market crashed, Richardson lost everything, and Thomson felt betrayed, hiring lawyers and consultants to get the money back.
Thomson appealed both Richardson and tenacity in 2023, seeking at least $25 million for the role that allegedly tied her down on the ropes to her investment as a targeted “whale.”
Thomson and Persistence settled for an undisclosed amount while Richardson was fighting his ex-friend in court.
Bradley Dizick, president of the Guide Post Consulting Company’s Technical Practices, told WSJ in the first half of 2022 that Richardson made 450,000 deals with billionaire funds.
He claims that Thomson lost more than $80 million in crypto investments related to Richardson’s involvement.
Richardson denied the allegations, claiming that he had never traded without Thomson’s approval, and always did his best to “minimise the losses.”
She also claims that Thomson hired a former FBI agent who worked at the Guide Post to visit her family.
Richardson said she is currently making money as an Uber driver, applying for food stamps, struggling to look after her dogs, and has done the legal work brought about by Persistence fall and the Thomson lawsuit.
Richardson then filed a countersuit for $10 million with the help of ChatGpt, claiming that Thomson slandered her with her accusations.
A Thomson spokesman denied all allegations, including those that Richardson allegedly passed her during a 2019 trip to British Columbia.
According to the WSJ, one of the final interactions via text was reportedly falling from the wagon after two years of drinking, Richardson reportedly referred to Thomson as “a rich mother – social disability B-.”
“Send your f-goons to take my life. You destroyed me,” she added.
