The next time President Donald Trump flies to Mar-a-Lago, he’ll likely land at the airport named after him. And if his motorcade ever crosses Interstate 40 in eastern Tennessee, you’ll see a bridge bearing his name.

That’s because officials in Palm Beach, Fla., and Dandridge, Tenn., installed signs Thursday praising the president, who has shown an affinity for naming everything from federal buildings to drug discount programs after him.
Palm Beach International Airport has been officially renamed Donald J. Trump Presidential International Airport, airport officials announced. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill in March to rename the airport.
“A very important day in Palm Beach, Florida. It was my great honor to see the successful vote to change the name of Palm Beach International Airport to Donald J. Trump Presidential International Airport,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social Thursday night. “This will soon be one of the greatest and most magnificent airports anywhere in the world!”

Earlier in the day, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent spoke at an unveiling ceremony in Tennessee, where the state’s legislature last year passed legislation renaming several bridges and roads, including designating a bridge in Jefferson County as the Presidential Donald J. Trump Bridge.
Formerly known as the Francis Barnett Swan Memorial Bridge.
“From today onwards, every driver who encounters this bridge will know that this bridge bears his name, because he never stopped fighting for the people who cross it, because he made their cause his own,” Bessent said.

The airport’s name change will cost at least $5.5 million and will include updates to signage, branding and other materials in the coming weeks, according to the airport’s website.
“We are officially in transition mode! We are working behind the scenes to update our physical signage, terminal space, and digital channels to our new name: President J. Trump International Airport,” the airport said on Facebook.
“The transformation of the entire airport will not happen overnight, so as you move through the terminal over the coming weeks, you will notice both the classic look and new brand elements coexisting together,” the post added.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office approved the Trump family’s application to trademark the new name on June 18, according to the agency. The airport has reached a trademark agreement with the Trump family, according to its website.
Trump’s private jet, Trump Force One, used by Trump on the campaign trail was the first plane to land at the airport at 5:01 a.m. ET after the official name change, Eric Trump, one of the president’s sons, wrote in X.
“No one has done more for Florida and our country, and no one is more deserving of this great honor,” he wrote. “As my son and someone who flies out of this airport almost every day, I will forever be proud to have the initials ‘DJT’ on my boarding pass.”
Although the airport has officially changed its name, the three-letter airport code will remain “PBI” until transitioning to “DJT” on Aug. 18, airport officials announced Thursday.
Weeks after Trump’s name was removed from Washington’s Kennedy Center, new billboards have been installed in Florida and Tennessee. His name was added to the center in December, sparking a months-long legal battle that ended when a federal judge ordered that all references to Trump be removed from the center and its website.
