Ethereum’s Validator exit queues surged this week from around 617,000 ETH seven days ago to over 2.6 million ETH.
The dramatic increase represents a validator who calls for the withdrawal of bets from the consensus mechanism of network proofing. Validators must enter the exit queue if they remove 32 ETH deposits and stop participating in network verification.
The queue handles a limited number of variator exits per day based on the total number of active valtters on the network. If the demand for the exit exceeds daily processing power, the barter will have to wait in line to complete the withdrawal.
