One who let NJ detainee escape, was captured, and the Fed runs as double reward

The FBI said federal officials arrested one of two detainees who were still missing after fleeing New Jersey immigration detention centers last week.

It was not immediately clear how Franklin Norbert Bautista Reyes was discovered. The search was underway on Tuesday for another fleeing detainee Andres Felipe Pineda Mogoron. In this case, a reward of $25,000 is offered.

Last Thursday, Ice was the first to flee the Delaney Hall facility in Newark, where Ice holds individuals facing deportation. One was captured on Passaic by the FBI and ICE on Saturday, and the second was taken into custody on Sunday.

The development is because President Trump will instruct federal authorities to step up ice operations across the country, particularly in Democrat-run cities.

Is it still a large scale?

Colombia’s Andres Pineda Mogoron went on to the US in 2023 after a tourism visa overstaying, DHS says. He was previously arrested on suspicion of robbery at a local tiny bit and a home. His last known speech is in Newark, New Jersey, and he is known to have ties to Queens, New York.

Investigators say four inmates kicked a wall at Delaney Hall and fled, Mayor Rasborakha said the operators had no permission to build it.

New Jersey Sen. Andy Kim said the construction was “essentially just a dry wall on the wall and connected to the exterior walls. That shows how the construction is here.”

The man went to the parking lot and bouncing the fence. Kim says the Delaney Hall officials are investigating other vulnerable walls.

Local and state officials are helping with the investigation.

“Additional law enforcement partners were brought to find these escapes, and the rags (watching eyes) have spread,” DHS said in a statement. “We recommend calling 911 or Ice Tip Line: 866-DHS-2-ICE if there is information that could lead to these individual positions.”

What is Delaney Hall?

Delaney Hall made the headline in May after protests broke out at the 1,000-bed privately owned facility.

Democrat Rep. Lamonica Mciver was charged with criminal charges with two counts of assault resulting from a May 9 visit to the center. She was charged Tuesday. The indictment includes three counts: assault, resistance, obstruction and obstruction against federal officials.

McQuiver’s lawyer Paul Fishman told NBC News that the prosecutors are politically motivated.

On the same visit that brought McQuiver’s charges, Mayor Baraka was arrested on trespassing charges and was later withdrawn. Baraka later filed a lawsuit against playing the US lawyer for Alina Haba, New Jersey, of Alina Haba, about what he said was a malicious prosecutor.

On Friday, New Jersey Sen. Corey Booker joined a chorus of local officials who denounced the conditions inside Delaney Hall and called them “homes of horror.” Kim confirmed reports that detainees are dealing with overcrowding because they are eating too little.

The woman who said her husband was believed to be detained in the facility lost more than 20 pounds last month.

“He said it hurts to be lying in the bed they gave him because he’s so thin right now that he’s not feeding them,” said Rosalinda Ortega, whose husband, Miguel, was taken into custody. “Yesterday I called and said they would stop calling and hold back. How can I hold back when they have him and abuse him?”
