Tony’s Chocolonely Inc. has announced it has voluntarily recalled after consumers sued “small stones” in chocolate bars, the company announced this week

Seven lots of Tony’s Dark Almond Sea Salt and all bars are named in the recall. Bars sold at popular retailers such as Walmart and Target have been recalled in both the US and Canada.

“Although individual products are unlikely to be affected and we have not yet received complaints in North America, we have decided to take this step to ensure a wealth of safety and satisfaction for Tony’s chocolate consumers,” the company said of the recall on its website on Tuesday.

According to the company, the bar was distributed between February 7th and March 24th, and other products were not affected. No injuries have been reported yet.

The small stones found were “not filtered during the third-party almond harvesting and almond processing process,” Tony’s Chocolatenelly said in the release.

The recalled bars can be identified by the lot code printed on the side of the wrapper.

All Bars of Tony’s Chocologne (6.35 oz)

Lot Code 4327 (Best by November 22, 2025) Lot Code 4330 (Best by November 25, 2025) Lot Code 4331 (Best by November 26, 2025) Lot Code M4331 (Best by November 26, 2025)

Tony’s Chocolate Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt (6.35 oz)

Lot Code 163094 (Best by April 2, 2026) Lot Code 162634 (Best by February 28, 2026) Lot Code M162634 (Best by February 28, 2026)

The company recommends “returning the product back to the purchase store for a refund or exchange or disposal of the product.”

If the bar is purchased online, you can request a refund online here.
