Shakira hospitalised, postponed concert in Peru

Shakira said in X that she is hospitalized and that she must postpone the scheduled concert on Sunday in Peru.

The singer said he had to go to the emergency room on Saturday night due to abdominal issues. In a post shared on Sunday afternoon, she confirmed that she remains hospitalized.

She said the doctors who care for her told her she was “not in good enough to play tonight.”

Shakira did not provide details about her condition.

“It’s so sad that I won’t be able to take the stage today. I was looking forward to reuniting with the incredible fans here in Peru,” writes Shakira. “I hope it’s released tomorrow and it’s well released, so I can play it.”

She said she and her team are already working on a new concert day schedule for the fans.

Shakira was scheduled to play “Rasmu Geres Janonono Roller Run World Tour” at Estadionacional in Lima on Sunday night. According to the tour schedule on her website, she is due to head to Columbia later in the week before playing the stadium on Monday night. It is not yet clear whether Shakira will be cleared to play on Monday.

Just a few weeks ago, Shakira competed on the Grammys stage in Los Angeles.
