Authorities have charged the husband of a San Antonio woman, who has been missing for over a month, with murder.
Brad Simpson faces charges related to the death of his wife, Suzanne Simpson, 51, a mother of four. She was last seen by a neighbor outside their San Antonio residence on October 7, as announced by local law enforcement.
Details surrounding the case were limited in the announcement made by the Texas Department of Public Safety on Thursday. However, a press conference is scheduled for Friday afternoon, where more information is expected to be shared.
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the discovery of Suzanne Simpson’s body.
Brad Simpson was previously arrested on October 10, where he faced charges linked to family violence, as per court documents.
Attempts to reach representatives from the county public defender’s office, which is representing Simpson, were unsuccessful on Thursday evening.
According to a report from NBC affiliate WOAI, neighbors reported hearing the couple in a heated argument last month. One neighbor claimed to have seen them involved in a physical altercation, and others mentioned they heard screams from the woods nearby shortly afterward.
A federal complaint was also filed against Brad Simpson the day after his initial arrest, citing illegal possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle.
