Sony’s PlayStation Network has experienced a major outage, with many frustrated users unable to play online games or access the online store.
In an X post on Friday at just before 9pm, the PlayStation posted Ask PlayStation: “We are aware that some users may be experiencing PSN issues now.”
According to Sony’s PlayStation Network Status Page, services like PlayStation Direct, PlayStation Store, Gaming and Social, PlayStation videos and account management were experiencing problems.
Users used social media to expel frustration and cracked some jokes.
“PlayStation Network Down, Time to Know Your Five Years Wife,” one wrote in X.
“PlayStation I hope you give us the free game #playstationnetworkdown,” another post was posted.
