The Manhunt was released after seven teenagers were injured in a drive-by shooting early Saturday morning, according to Chicago police.
“Unknown vehicles were driving and began firing at the crowd that hit several casualties,” officers were “trying to disband a large gathering of people,” Chicago police said in a statement.
Three of the victims were 17 years old, three of whom were 18 and one was one. He added that everyone was injured in the leg, two were hit in the arm, one in the back, one in the butt department and was taken to a local hospital.
Everything was listed as “fair” apart from those who hit the legs and chest.
“The vehicle quickly fled the scene,” the statement said. “No one was injured.”
It added that no one has been detained and detectives are “investigating the situation related to the case.”
According to city police, there were 2,758 shooting victims in Chicago in 2024, down 4.1% from the previous year.
