“Old Town Road” rapper Lil NassX was arrested early Thursday morning and taken to the hospital after walking into the streets undressed as a Los Angeles official.
The Los Angeles Police Department told NBC News that officers responded to the 11,000 block of Ventura Boulevard before 6am regarding the nude man’s report. Police said officers were charged when the man arrived at the scene.
“He was taken to a local hospital due to an overdose and was placed in a battery arrest by officers,” police said.
Law enforcement, well-versed in the investigation, confirmed with NBC News that the suspect was Montero Lamar Hill. Also Lil Nass X. Hill is an officer twice during the encounter, sources said.
Officials were unsure if Hill was on the substance and/or if he was in mental distress, the source said.
Reservation records were not available immediately at Hill in the Los Angeles County Database. Hill representatives did not immediately respond to an NBC News request for comments on Thursday.
Hill was walking in the middle of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City at 4am on Thursday, with a pair of white briefs and Cowboy Boys in a video released exclusively to TMZ.
In a video released by TMZ, Hill told the driver to “come to the party.” And then another clip said, “Didn’t you tell me to put your phone down?”
“Yeah, someone’s going to have to pay for it,” Hill said, continuing to walk away.
In some clips, the hill struts as if he were on a catwalk, posing for the onlookers, and at one point puts an orange traffic cone on his head.
