After Beyoncé surprised thousands of fans by temporarily reuniting Destiny’s child, the crowd was jumping in at Allegian Stadium in Las Vegas.
Kelly Roland and Michelle Williams joined Beyoncé on Saturday night to demonstrate their first performance in seven years on the final show of their “Cowboy Carter” tour. The woman sang, “I’m losing my breath,” and left with her gold-covered gold.
The trio performed a short medley, including the smash single “Bootylicious” and one of Beyoncé’s own song “Energy.”
It was a rare reunion for the group. This disbanded in 2006 to pursue a solo career. The last time they were on stage together was for Beyoncé’s headlining set at Coachella in 2018.
Beyoncé posted a photo of the woman on her Instagram without a caption. The comments section was filled with love for the relationship between the group and women in the 90s after all these years.
“That’s all,” one comment said. “It’s really incredible to have pure friendship, sisterhood and allow us to share it with you.”
The surprise performance thrilled both stadium fans and internet fans. Some expressed distrust of what they just witnessed, while others were angry that they weren’t there to see it for themselves.
“There are people who say they’ve seen Destiny’s Child live in 2025. I’m not one of them!!!!!” he wrote.
Even celebrities were excited by the act of surprise. Bravo host Andy Cohen posted early Sunday that “Destiny’s Child Reunion video is making my mornings.”
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, took to the stage shortly after the trio left together. The 13-year-old is dancing on stage for his mother’s show all tour.
Many saw symbolism at her entrance shortly after Destiny’s child left the stage. Some social media have called teens “children of destiny.”
“The child of destiny gives the torch to the blue ivy,” one wrote. “A historic moment.”
