President Donald Trump appeared at the US Open this weekend with Rolex CEO Jean Frederic Dufour.

Trump watched the men’s singles final in New York on Sunday at the midcourt box run by Rolex, which sponsors the tournament. According to NBC News, the president was joined by well-known White House officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent and Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.

Trump was invited to Rolex, according to an Associated Press report on Saturday. Rolex and the White House did not respond to CNBC’s request for comment.

The alleged Rolex invitation came within weeks of Trump placing a 39% tariff rate in Switzerland. This is higher than other countries in the region, following transactions between the US and the European Union and the UK.

Last month, Bernstein analyst Luca Solca wrote to her client that “the last deal that many wanted didn’t come true.”

Sorca said it is likely that Swiss watchmakers will need to raise prices as a result of taxation. Analysts say the 39% collection is nearly twice as high as previously expected in the country.

However, Solca also said the group jumped on shipments prior to the implementation of the tariffs, and could offer a “buffer” priced for around six months.

Trump’s attendance at the Rolex Box shows his interactions with the latest major companies. Large companies aim to have a positive attitude towards curry after taking office this year. The president hosted several CEOs of a large technology company at the White House last week.

The Associated Press said Sunday’s visit was Trump’s first time at a sporting event since 2015.

Rolex was founded in 1905 and is a private company headquartered in Geneva. US tickets open the final cost for a minimum of $800 or more, with seating nearby for thousands of dollars.
