With the night approaching, the sticky Texas heat, Xavier Ramirez waited outside Calvary Temple Church, hoping for a miracle.
Ramirez, 23, from Midland, was at a church in Carville and was tired of his eyes. He said, “Minute 1 minute, second to second to second.”
One of his cousins, Devin Smith, was at an HTR campground outside Ingram when the Guadalupe River burst from the bank, but was found late Friday and had recovered at the Peterson Regional Center, he said.
Smith, 23, was found in the lower river about 20 miles outside the centre of the tree, Ramirez said.
But she was one of six people at a campsite outside Ingram in Kerr County.
Ramirez said she was still waiting for her aunt, Tasha Ramos. Another cousin, Kendall Ramos. his stepfather, Cody Crossland; his mother, Michelle Crossland. and his uncle Joel Ramos.
