Mask’s Super PAC jumps to Florida’s special election

According to a new campaign finance report, Superpack, tied to billionaire Elon Musk, has launched spending in two deep Republican House seats in Florida ahead of next week’s special election.

Although it has yet to file a financial disclosure form this year, the US PAC, which was funded almost entirely by Musk last year, spent $20,000 on “text messaging services,” boosting Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis in District 1, District 1, and Sen. Randy of District 6, according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission, reported Tuesday night.

US PAC’s special election spending is minimal so far compared to the millions of dollars already spent there. But it’s an indication that Musk may be paying attention to the contest as he continues to strengthen his political involvement while he works as a leading White House advisor. The US PAC also spent millions of dollars on Wisconsin’s competition for the state’s Supreme Court next week.

Tuesday’s special election in Florida takes place in deep Republican territory. President Donald Trump scored 30 points in District 1 and District 6 in November, according to NBC News Decision Desk’s election results calculations.

But House Republican leaders have warned about a 6th District competition that will replace former GOP lawmaker Mike Waltz, who resigned in January to become Trump’s national security adviser. Fine recently submitted an inactive fundraising report, which drew a major drag on his democratic opponent, Josh Weil, a public school teacher.

Patronis was also removed by gun control activist Gay Vallimont, a Democrat opponent in District 1, but it wasn’t that dramatic. The winner of the District 1 race will replace former GOP MP Matt Gaetz.

Trump has supported both Patronis and the fine, and he has boosted both candidates with his recent Truth Social Post.
