SYDNEY – A Sydney nurse has been charged with intimidation after appearing on an online video saying she wouldn’t treat an Israeli patient.
Sarah Abu Lebde, 26, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with a federal crime of threatening violence on the group, using transport services to kill carriage services and using threats and harassment, police said. I stated. The charges pose a potential maximum penalty of 22 years in prison.
Neither the defense attorney nor Abu Lebde commented on the charges. She was released on bail for appearance in Sydney’s court on March 19th.
Abu Lebdeh and another nurse, Ahmed Rashid Nadir, were suspended from Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital on February 12, the night before with Israeli influencer Max Veifer. Abu Lebde said he would not treat Israeli patients, but suggested that Nadir had killed the Israelis.
Nadir has not been interviewed by the police yet.
The hospital looked at patient records but found no evidence that the nurse had harmed the patient.
Australia has surged anti-Semitic attacks and rhetoric that have shaken the country as homes, offices and businesses have been destroyed, and schools and two synagogues have been torched for more than a year with crimes targeting Jews I’ve been experiencing this.
