According to Bloomberg’s report, Kucoin, a cipher -based encryption, acknowledged the operation of a non -licensed financial protection business and agreed to pay $ 300 million and forfeit.

Peken Global LTD., one of the three entities operated as Kucoin, began a petition in Manhattan on Monday before the US Judge Andrew Charter. Penalties consist of a fine of $ 113 million and a confiscation of $ 184.5 million.

Chun Gan and KE Tang, founder of Kucoin, were accused of running a business without a license and failed to implement a money laundering prevention program. Both agree to postpone the prosecution agreement and forfeit $ 2.7 million, respectively.

The prosecution argued that Kucoin had violated the bank’s secret law by verifying the customer’s identity, establishing an appropriate money laundering protocol, and failing to submit suspicion reports.

According to what these compliance disorders have been able to handle billions of dollars in transactions, including illegal acts.

In the past, the exchangi resolved a civil lawsuit with the New York Corporation in December 2023, paid a fine of $ 22 million, and stopped operating in the state.

New York authorities accused Kukkoin operated without appropriate registration as a securities and product broker dealer, and accidentally reported it as an implicit exchange.

The incident is a recent execution of BitMex, a separate Seishel -based encryption, which was ordered to pay $ 100 million to violate the US Money Laundering Law.
