Bitcoin price soars above $66,000 as CLARITY Act advances

Bitcoin prices regained $66,000 this week, hitting an intraday high of $66,300, its highest since mid-June, while rising about 3% in 24 hours on a thin order book and cooling U.S. inflation data.

The U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETF saw net inflows of just $75.7 million last week, its second consecutive week of positive inflows, according to CoinGlass data, but the $273.1 million it recovered in two weeks is only 3.3% of the $8.2 billion in outflows over the past eight weeks.

Meanwhile, the Senate’s progress on the CLARITY Act, a digital asset market structure bill, injects another layer of optimism into the story, although the legislative timeline still carries procedural risks.

What happens in the $64,000-$65,000 supply zone over the next few sessions could determine whether this is a trend reversal or a retracement trap.

Is it possible for Bitcoin price to reach $71,500 by the July 29th FOMC meeting?

$BTC has regained the $65,000 level.

The next major resistance level is between $67,500 and $68,000, which means Bitcoin has some upside potential.

BTC is trading just above $66,000, with recent levels near $66,300. The 50-day SMA and EMA have converged in the $66,000-$67,000 zone, and analysts note that this zone needs to be convincingly regained for a credible move forward.

Thin liquidity increases the risk of a sharp reversal, with the 20-day EMA at $63,000 serving as the first support level on a pullback. Below that, $60,000 and the 200-week moving average of $59,000 serve as structural floors.

A decline below $65,900 could lead to $61,500 and $60,000, with $59,000 marking the boundary between bull market correction and structural collapse.

There are three possible scenarios:

Bull Case: A solid close above $66,000 could push BTC towards $71,500, with resistance at $67,000 and $69,200-$72,600.

Base scenario: Range between $63,000 and $67,000 through July 29th FOMC meeting, influenced by Fed interest rate guidance and ETF flows.

Bear Case: Rejected at current levels and retested at $60,000. If that fails, BTC could fall to the $56,930 level noted by cryptonomists.

Bitcoin Hyper aims for early-stage positioning to test BTC’s structural resilience

A sustained rise from $66,000 to $71,500 would represent an increase of approximately +10% for an asset whose market capitalization is already in the trillions of dollars. The early entry calculations look different for traders whose focus is on growing the BTC ecosystem and not just the Bitcoin price.

The CLARITY Act’s evolving regulatory framework is particularly relevant to infrastructure plans to build within the Bitcoin ecosystem, projects that will significantly expand the addressable market once programmable Bitcoin use cases gain regulatory legitimacy.

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) sits directly in that gap. The project claims to be the first ever Bitcoin Layer 2 to integrate the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), targeting sub-second finality and smart contract execution, exceeding Solana’s native throughput, according to proprietary benchmarks, while anchoring security to Bitcoin’s base layer.

The presale has raised $32,973,904.37 at the current token price of $0.0136834, and staking has been active with participants aiming to further increase their funds while the fundraising continues. A decentralized standard bridge for BTC transfers and low-cost transaction execution are the two features most directly tied to the programmability gap that the CLARITY Act is designed to justify.
