Zamir Limon and Nahida S. Bristi, both 27, were last seen on Thursday, according to US FPD.
Police said Limon, a doctoral student pursuing a degree in geography, environmental science and policy, was last seen at his home in Tampa at 9 a.m. Thursday. There has been no contact with him since then, and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office filed a missing persons report on his behalf.
Bristi was also last seen Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Natural and Environmental Sciences (NES) building on the USF Tampa campus, police said. She is studying chemical engineering. USFPD processed her missing person report.
Limon’s residence is less than a 10-minute drive from the NES building where Bristi was last seen.
Just before 5 p.m. on April 17, a family friend reported that both Limon and Bristi could not be reached. The call triggered both missing person reports and led police to enter both Limon and Bristi into a missing persons database.
Officials said the two were friends and may be together.
Police are asking anyone who has seen Limon or Bristi or has information about their whereabouts to contact USFPD at (813) 974-2628.
Police said they will release further information about the incident as soon as it becomes available.
